Bridleway System Upgrade
In September 2025, Technotrack Engineering (TTE) successfully delivered a bridleway system upgrade at Felixstowe Depot, supporting essential improvements to the local railway infrastructure.

Project Overview
The project began with detailed initial site surveys, undertaken to accurately capture existing cable routes and cable lengths. Alongside this, TTE managed the procurement of all required materials, including new disconnection boxes, signalling cables, troughing routes, and ducting systems, ensuring the project was fully prepared ahead of installation.

Scope of Works
TTE were tasked with delivering a comprehensive upgrade package, which included:

• Upgrading 120 metres of troughing route
• ​Clearing existing routes to accommodate new cable installations
• Proving and roping pits and ducts
• ​Installation of over 4,000 metres of new signalling cable
• Recovery and removal of redundant cabling
• Renewal of four disconnection boxes serving the bridleway gates
• Upgrading cabling to the shunter’s panel and within the existing location

Delivery
The works were completed safely and efficiently, with careful coordination to minimise disruption while delivering a robust and future-proof signalling solution for the bridleway system.
